1. Client Background & Project Requirements

Our client, a leading Vietnam furniture company, was expanding its production capacity to meet growing global demand. They required a new, state-of-the-art facility that could accommodate large-scale assembly lines, heavy machinery, and a multi-level operational workflow.

Client’s Core Challenges:

  • Aggressive Timeline: The facility needed to be operational within 18 months to launch a new product line, demanding rapid design, fabrication, and construction.
  • Structural Integrity & Load Capacity: The building had to support heavy overhead cranes and complex mezzanine structures for component storage and sub-assembly, requiring a robust and precisely engineered steel frame.
  • Energy Efficiency & Natural Light: To reduce long-term operational costs and create a better working environment, the client prioritized a design that maximized natural daylight and incorporated high-performance insulation.
  • Architectural Appeal: The client wanted the facility to reflect their brand’s modern, high-tech image, moving beyond a standard “industrial box” design.

2. Design, Manufacturing & Logistics Solution

Our team provided a fully integrated, end-to-end solution that transformed the client’s vision into a functional and aesthetically pleasing industrial asset.

Design Phase:

  • Structural Modeling: Using advanced software like Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit, our engineers designed a multi-span portal frame. This wide-span design minimizes the number of internal columns, creating a vast, open floor space essential for flexible assembly line configuration.
  • Material Specification:
    • Primary Structure: High-strength Q355B structural steel was used for all main columns, beams, and trusses, ensuring superior load-bearing capacity and long-term durability.
    • Secondary Structure: Galvanized C and Z-purlins were specified for the roof and wall support systems.
  • Cladding & Roofing:
    • Walls: The building features horizontally-laid, 0.6mm corrugated steel panels with a durable PVDF coating. This choice provides excellent weather resistance and a sleek, modern architectural finish.
    • Roof: A composite roofing system was designed, incorporating profiled steel sheets, high-density glass wool insulation, and an aluminum foil vapor barrier. This system offers exceptional thermal and acoustic performance.
    • Daylighting: Large polycarbonate skylight panels were strategically integrated into the roof design to flood the interior with natural light, significantly reducing electricity consumption.

Manufacturing & Quality Control:

  • All steel components were prefabricated in our controlled factory environment. Automated cutting, welding, and painting lines ensured every piece met exact design tolerances and stringent quality standards (ISO 9001).
  • A multi-layer anti-corrosion painting process was applied to all primary structural members to guarantee a long service life in the local climate.

Logistics & Delivery:

  • Components were meticulously labeled, packaged, and loaded into containers in the sequence of their on-site assembly. This “just-in-time” approach minimized site storage needs and accelerated the construction process.

  • Robust Foundation Interface: The steel structure is anchored to a solid concrete plinth wall with a brick facade, providing a durable and moisture-resistant base that protects the lower wall panels from ground-level impacts and weathering.
